In the final episode of ABC2’s Tattoo Tales tonight singer Reece Mastin is inked once more.

Fixed rig cameras capture the day-to-day antics and artistry inside a busy tattoo studio on Sydney’s Bondi Beach. This series reveals unique, entertaining and often poignant insights into why so many Australians get inked.

For the final episode there is an extraordinary mix of celebrities, characters, courage, confrontation and classic Josh moments. Australian pop singer, and former winner of ‘The X Factor’, Reece Mastin has had many of his tattoos done at the studio. Unfortunately all the artists who have worked on him have since been sacked. Dennis is booked to do Reece’s ink and is understandably nervous. Julie, the Deputy Director of the Newcastle Museum, likes to curate the story of her life on her body. Today she’s getting a big statement – a mermaid in the middle of a storm drawn on her upper thigh.

Cerebral palsy sufferer, 24-year-old Sandy has been told she will soon be confined to a wheelchair. She’s having a tattoo of her constant companion – her little dog Emi, which gives her a purpose and reason to keep fighting.

Young mother of two Laura is also getting a tattoo in appreciation of her family. She has survived three heart operations and had her babies against all odds.

Another client who celebrates life is happy go lucky Matt. He’s an irrepressible man who loves his ocean inspired ink. While he may be too ‘happy’ for Josh, the two of them bond when social media trolls attack Matt’s new tattoo on Instagram.

A disgruntled client comes in to confront John and Josh demanding his money back for what he thinks is a disappointing tattoo. Josh tries to mediate, but fails.

9:30pm tonight on ACB2.
