Tomorrow night FOX8 premieres US drama series The Messengers, produced for The CW.

13 episodes of this were produced, airing in the US from April.

When a mysterious object plummets to Earth, the blinding explosion it causes sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers who awaken after the pulse with extraordinary gifts they can barely believe. Most mysterious of all is a figure known only as The Man, who brings death and suffering wherever he appears. The wheels of Revelation have begun to turn, and these five newly christened Angels of the Apocalypse may be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture.

Wednesdays from June 3 at 7.30pm on FOX8.

Amended.

  1. I tried it but absolutely loathed it. Heavy handed with it’s religiosity, characters I really didn’t give two hoots about and stunted dialogue. Just awful.

    1. Yeah l tried it. Didn’t feel obliged to see how it all turns out. Feel sorry for those who like it though, it’s never good when a show is cancelled in just it’s first season.

  2. I’ve been really liking this show, glad fox8 is now airing it, it’s a shame it ended. I think there was more then 7 eps, but only 6 have aired so far, I think it’s was only meant to be a one season show for the cw in the summer mths, the storyline should end

    1. I just looked it up on imdb there is 13 episodes and ep7 airs Saturday in the US, so wasn’t cancelled just didn’t do season 2 and I don’t think it was meant to anyway, the CW has too many shows as it is, eg arrow, flash, vampire, originals, supernatural, 100, izombie, they only have 10 hours to program a week

  3. David, I think there are 13 episodes in toal. It was axed after 5 and CW only showed 7. They have started airing the remaining episodes now (Ep 8 airs on June 5) so hopefully Foxtel show the entire season.

    1. It was axed after episode 2 but cw is still letting it run fully, so it hasn’t stopped airing, it’s just not get a 2nd season, but CW is a great channel and leave it on
