Nine Adelaide has announced a locally-produced special Alisa & Lysandra to the Rescue, featuring former Block twins Alisa & Lysandra Fraser.
They will renovate the three-bedroom home of a South Australian family, assisted by businesses, tradies and volunteers.
Nine Perth has similarly staged a locally-produced special which it aired following the NRL Grand Final.
“We’ve dealt with the pressure of two seasons of The Block but we never thought we would be asked do an entire house in four days,” said Lysandra.
“The family we have chosen is so special that they really need a break – we can’t wait to surprise them with this gift. And to top it off, we get to do this in our home town.”
Nine is claiming the special as “South Australia’s first locally produced renovation show” but ABC’s former Dream Build would probably take issue with that.
Filming will commence in early July, with no airdate yet confirmed.

Channel Nine – where too much renovation is not enough!
Why just four days? It’s not a contest – why not remove the time pressure and actually do it properly.
Will all states see this special?? Love the twins!
We got one in Perth a few weeks ago . I thought it was really well produced. As good as DIY SOS anyway which I love
I hope that Nine would air this renovation special sometime in October (not following the NRL Grand Final).
Dream build wasn’t a renovation show, it was just about showing already complete architecturally interesting homes
