MasterChef: …and then there were four.

After Sara is eliminated, just four contestants remain: Jessica, Reynold, Billie and Georgia.

26 year old Sara Oteri from WA became the latest MasterChef contestant eliminated from the show.

She served up the least-impressive dish in an elimination set by Grant King of Sydney’s Gastro Park.

The judges were disappointed in her recreation of his liquid butternut gnocchi, costing her a shot at the grand final.

Now just four contestants remain: Jessica, Reynold, Billie and Georgia, with two more due to depart on Thursday and Sunday.

But it’s not all bad for Sara with TEN advising she is now working in the kitchen at The Kettle Black in Melbourne and working towards her own venue.

  1. I hitnk maybe Biliie or Georgia will win. Reynold is not strong on savoury, Gergia is great at both but can stress out big time and lose focus while Bille is very calm all the time and her plating is great.

But Jessica is also a dark horse. No one has given her a chance.

  2. Hi, I’m very disappointed that the judges make comments to the contestants while they are cooking, no hints, ideas or taste testing should take place at all while they are working on their cooking, i believe this shows favouritism to certain contestants and vice versa, if you want someone to make comments do so by having an indipendant voice, narrator like iron chef as a good example. The judges themselves making comments and providing feedback takes away the excitement of the final judging.

  3. How does Billie get away with leaving her hair in a ponytail, disgusting, and yep Georgia has had a lot of not & too subtle help, we switched off weeks ago

    1. I agree about the hair. I know for television, they want to present their features and image as fully as possible. However, when they are cooking in restaurants or on location for the general public, they should have the same hair covering as expected either under health regulations or what a reasonable person would expect for acceptable hygiene and that would be basic head covering.

  4. Ten should be very, very proud of the production people who are putting together this show because it is a very classy, well finished and professionally put-together program. The editing and other post-production techniques are world class and would put a lot of very highly paid Hollywood movie people to shame who work with far more time and money. As for the contestants, they have worked hard and very successfully to show us who they are. Reynold would have to be the nicest person to ever go on that show since it started. That young man is not only a beautiful role model for today’s generation but you just want to give him a hug. Georgia might be a favorite to win but she hasn’t had it easy by any stretch. But Ten would be wise to keep Reynold under their wing, that’s for sure. Cooking shows are getting very stale on other channels now but MasterChef proves to be the one that is…

  5. I’ve watched every Sunday episode of Masterchef this season but after watching about 10 minutes of last Sundays episode was bored and turned over to watch the cricket. If Georgia’s probably going to win is there any point to watching anymore?

      1. Billie is an excellent operator. I’ve worked with people like her in several jobs – they’ve got their act together, know what they’re doing, and will listen and work it out if they don’t. It’s always a pleasure to work with someone like that, whatever the domain.

    1. Funny that you suggest Georgia’s the pre-ordained winner. Most people I’ve seen have long thought either Sara or Reynold were the anointed one.

Though yeah, Georgia’s face on the front would probably sell the most cookbooks…

      1. If you read all the social media Georgia is the one expected to win because of the favoritism shown to her by the judges. Billie or Reynold should win.

        1. I’m putting my money on Georgia to win the whole thing.
Why? Because I agree the judges have made a fuss about her since her audition dish.
Georgia and Reynold for the final.
