Darren & Brose: Aug 6

Ding Dong drops by ONE's late night chat show once again.

Several returning guests on Darren & Brose this week including the divine Denise Drysdale (ok, maybe it was one visit, cut up into different episodes).

The show is also airing at the ‘earlier’ time of 10:45pm, a nice late night segue for viewers of Dirty Laundry Live perhaps? Both shows also have Marty Sheargold.

Darren Chau said: “The network said that we could potentially get on TV even earlier than 10:45pm, but that we wouldn’t be able to call the show Darren & Brose and that we’d have to date The Bachelor.”

Joining hosts Darren Chau and Brose Avard this week will be dual TV Week Gold Logie winner Denise Drysdale, Helpmann Award winning actress Michala Banas (Have You Been Paying Attention?, Winners and Losers, Upper Middle Bogan), actor and presenter David Reyne (9am with David and Kim, Getaway, The Flying Doctors), Australian music royalty Kate Ceberano (ARIA, MO and Logie Award winner) and from Nova’s “Kate, Tim and Marty” comedian Marty Sheargold (Dirty Laundry Live).

Also this week the boys play a special segment, “the cameras are always rolling”, revealing some surprising behind-the-scenes conversations and moments with their guests from across the series.

10:45pm Thursday on ONE

  1. I’m enjoying the show as it’s diverse to what we currently have on TV at the moment, but the staggered start times make it annoying to follow and the editing of the show leaves a lot left to be desired. I wish they would’ve kept it to 2 or 3 guests (including musical act) per show and played the interview in full rather than having returning guests throughout the episode. It’s a shame, because Darren is rather funny. Don’t quite see the point of Brose as he doesn’t say much but I hope we see a 2nd season with some slight changes.

    1. Totally agree, cut the guests down and have them more time to talk. I find it annoying that you are just getting into the guest and it is all over. Brose….he should say more or leave him out of it, two people as hosts for a late night show…why……it clearly does not work otherwise there would be no Graham Norton, or Parkinson. Cut out Brose and call it Late with Darren or something.
