It’s not part of Seven’s “Super September” despite its premiere in the UK on September 20th, but here’s the first look at the final season of Downton Abbey.
Everyone at Downton is looking to life beyond the estate, in this trailer.
“Neither you nor I can hold back time,” the Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) tells Mr. Carson (Jim Carter).
If history tells us anything with Downton then it’s likely to screen here in February.

7 really should do the right thing and fast track the final season of downton. But they won’t because the treat drama viewers like crap. Its going to be so hard to avoid spoilers and surely there will be some major spoilers in the final season. Who knows when 7 will air it? Last season didn’t start in February when the new ratings began and episodes aired on both Sundays and Thursdays. With that history in mind who knows what shenanigans 7 will put viewers through in the final season.
Correction. It did start late February. I knew it was late this year compared to other seasons which started when ratings began. Despite the fact I was incorrect on month by a week, I thought it began in march I do think downton was treated very poorly last season and the ratings reflected that.
