MTV VMA 2015: guide

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards take place on Monday morning, Australian time.

Leading the nominations this year are Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar with 5 each, with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran on 4 each.

Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy has been nominated for the coveted ‘Artists to Watch Award’ for his video ‘Riptide.’ Go Vance! Fellow Aussie Sia is nominated for ‘Female Video of The Year’ for ‘Elastic Heart’ and 5 Seconds of Summer are leading the votes in the ‘Viewer’s Choice Award’ for the ‘Song of Summer.’

Queen B’s ‘7/11’ video is nominated for ‘Video of The Year,’ ‘Best Female Video,’ ‘Best Pop Video,’ ‘Best Choreography’ and ‘Best Editing.’ Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar has been nominated for ‘Video of The Year’ for both ‘Alright’ and ‘Bad Blood’ in collaboration with Taylor Swift, as well as ‘Best Male Video,’ ‘Best Hip Hop Video’ and ‘Best Collaboration.’

Kanye West will receive the ‘Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.’
