Hoist that flag high, American Dad has been renewed for not one, but two more seasons.
The deal takes the Seth MacFarlane show through to 2018 after TBS picked up season 11 last November. Prior to that it had aired on FOX.
Overall, American Dad! reaches nearly 4 million viewers per episode, including airings on TBS and Adult Swim plus on-demand, digital and mobile platforms.
“American Dad! has thrived since coming to TBS and Adult Swim, demonstrating the Turner portfolio’s ability to build enduring hits through a combination of smart programming, savvy promotion and extensive multi-platform distribution,” said Deborah Bradle from Turner Broadcasting.
It airs in Australia on 7mate along with Family Guy.

While I’m glad, the show just isn’t the same as when it was on Fox. Sure the characters are the same and the storylines are just as wacky and crazy, I just feel that something is off about it now. But I’ll still watch it
Never understood the rationale for this show as it’s a carbon copy of ‘Family Guy’ except Peter is a CIA agent..
Much better than Family Guy. I would American Dad over Family Guy any day now. Completely different shows.
FG is typical low brow MacFarlane humor AD is much more satirical. TBS actually picked up season 12 last year, three leftover episodes from season 10 aired last September on Fox as season 11.
it’s nothing like family guy.
