Liev Schreiber drama Ray Donovan has been renewed for a fourth season by Showtime.
The brooding drama, which also features Jon Voight, was renewed by the US cable network along with Masters of Sex -both for 12 episodes.
“Both Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex are signature series for Showtime,” said Showtime Networks president David Nevins. “They are emblematic of what Showtime stands for – quality, premium programming that you cannot find anywhere else on television. ”
David Hollander, who replaced creator Ann Biderman on Season 3, will returning as executive producer / showrunner.
Season 3 is currently screening on the Showcase channel in Australia.
Meanwhile Showtime has axed its new comedy Happyish and announced a drama based on Jim Carrey’s early stand-up days, I’m Dying Up Here plus a limited series based on Patti Smith’s memoir Just Kids.

Season 3 has been so good it would’ve been a no brainer for Showtime to renew it. The Finney family has been a good addition to the show.
