Seven has denied having any links to a man named on last night’s A Current Affair who claimed to be a celebrity manager from the network.

ACA claimed Gerard Vamadevan purported to be a manager representing Home and Away who lured aspiring actors with the promise of a television career.

He allegedly used fake business cards and organised parties with Home and Away cast members as part of an elaborate hoax.

But aspiring Queensland performer Nicole Whitehead, who moved interstate, said she was forbidden to see friends and was stringed along on empty promises.

Seven told Nicole they had never heard of Vamadevan nor his associate John Feeney.

Seven also told ACA Vamadevan had no association with the network.
