Chris travels to Fiji to learn about the guardian of the sea, tradition shark GodDakuwaqa. Joining some fearless locals, Chris scuba dives in a shark hot spot among eight different species of sharks, including several massive, five-metre bull sharks.

Miguel has the great privilege of being invited by the Yolngu people to Bawaka,located in north-east Arnhem Land in Northern Territory. There he is joined by indigenous chef Mark Olive, who shows Miguel some tradition cooking tips. Miguel then collects some of the fantastic produce that the Australia bush has to offer and cooks up a delicious fish wrapped in paper bark.

  1. It’s a great little show alright, but would be heaps better without Miguel. I can barely understand him, his accent is so strong, and his over-exuberance is really annoying after about 10 secs. Apart from him, thoroughly enjoyable.

Hmm, I think I’ll whip up to Coles for some paper bark to cook my fish tonight….that’s the problem TLR needs to watch here is keep recipes accessible to average punters…I remember seeing one segment where Miguel prepared some recipe using a specific type of product only available from a farm somewhere in the snowy mountains. Again it fails the “I want to cook that tomorrow test “. If I can’t get the ingredients why should I bother watching ?

  3. This is a great little show. On at the right time for the right audience, backed up with good programming on either side of it. Take some notes ch7 and ch9, but don’t copy.
