Is this the Winners and Losers finale?

It sure feels like goodbye -but wait, there's more.

You could be forgiven for thinking this week’s season finale of Winners and Losers is the last-ever episode.

The characters are all making hasty exits and farewells, with a wedding, moving interstate and overseas, planning holidays and changing their destinies.

In the Winners and Losers season final on Tuesday, September 8, a surprise wedding sets the scene for a series of life-changing decisions but will our girls get the happy endings they deserve?

But fear not, there are another 13 episodes due for 2016.

This feels like one of those occasions where a show has had to write an ending without the knowledge of whether it will be returning or not. That’s not unique to Australian drama. But it does create the challenge of giving a satisfying conclusion in case it doesn’t get a renewal after production has concluded.

You can catch this episode at 8:30pm Tuesday on Seven.

  1. This is one show that has not been treated well in recent years with the splitting of seasons, late starts and burning off with double eps this season 4.2.
I expect season 5 to be its last, but no clear drama replacements are afoot…

    1. Agree with winners and losers not being treated well. Despite the second half of season 4 being an improvement its been hard to watch because the season 4 was split with a 6 month or so gap and the double episodes. I too think season 5 will be its last due to ratings. Networks spend so much time protecting their reality shows and throw their dramas to the wolves.
