TEN has appointed its former chief sales officer, Louise Barrett as Sydney executive general manager, following its restructure with sales division Multi Channel Network.

She will work with advertisers and MCN to create integration ideas, reporting to CEO Paul Anderson.

“With the sales representation agreement between TEN and Multi Channel Network [“MCN”] taking effect on September 1, I’m very pleased that Louise has agreed to take on a new, important role in managing and continuing to build the relationships between TEN and our advertisers. She will also work closely with MCN to ensure we deliver the best possible service and results for our clients,” Anderson said.

“Louise and her sales team at TEN have produced outstanding results this year in terms of revenue and share growth, and she will continue that great contribution in her new position.

“The alliance of MCN and TEN gives advertisers a new way to reach consumers across all video content distribution platforms and to bring their brands and ideas to life across multiple media.”

“By joining forces with MCN, TEN has gained scale, new efficiencies, improved data capability and broader integration opportunities for our clients,” Barrett said.

“There is a very exciting opportunity for TEN to capitalise on MCN’s extensive investment in technology and data platforms to drive better results for our advertisers. I look forward to working closely with MCN to achieve just that.

“The media business is largely built on relationships and I will be focusing on making TEN’s already strong advertiser relationships deeper and more effective.”

Russel Howcroft remains executive general manager of Melbourne and other cities, excluding Sydney.
