The Today show is embarking on its third “We Love Australia” tour, broadcasting from locations across the country in a special week of programmes.

Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson and Richard Wilkins will travel to Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria from Monday, September 28, to Friday, October 2 on Nine.

Lisa Wilkinson said: “This is our third We Love Australia tour, and once again we’re reminded how many brilliant holiday spots we have in this country.

“Our viewers clearly love it when we hit the road. We just love meeting everyone and getting to showcase all that Australia has to offer.”

Co-host Karl Stefanovic said: “We live in the best country on the planet. Why on earth would you want to go anywhere else? We’re going to break records with the number of people Lisa buys a beer for. And I’ve got a funny feeling I’ll finally find love for Dickie. Come on, girls – make it third time lucky for the handsome devil.”

Of course, Today has previously broadcast from the USA, UK and Canada (but must have slipped Karl’s mind). The announcement follows Sunrise‘s week of international destinations this week.

Meanwhile Stevie Jacobs will be on special assignment, uncovering great family holidays on a budget. He will be road-testing fun family getaways including caravanning and camping, staying on a farm in Adelaide, and hopping on a houseboat on the beautiful Hawkesbury River.

Then, on Friday, October 2, the team reunite in Melbourne at Crown Southbank with Sylvia Jeffreys and Tim Gilbert to celebrate the We Love Australia trip and the 2015 AFL and NRL Grand Finals played that weekend.

The fun-filled, five-day travel adventure will feature stories of vibrant local people and businesses, as well as surprise entertainment and famous faces joining the team along the way.

· Monday, September 28 – Broome, WA and Narrabeen, NSW
· Tuesday, September 29 – Darwin, NT and Coffs Harbour, NSW
· Wednesday, September 30 – Longreach, QLD and Cairns, QLD
· Thursday, October 1 – Sunshine Coast, QLD and Adelaide, SA
· Friday, October 2 – Melbourne, VIC and Hawkesbury River, NSW

  1. There were a few cheap digs at Sunrise’s International Week during the announcement, very cheeky from the perennial bridesmaids! Not to mention Edwina B does a great job of showcasing hundreds of Aussie destinations each year!

  2. So basically everytime sunrise go somewhere today then do it a week later. But I do like how they are show casing Australia. Id like sunrise to go back to the hometowns of where the hosts grew up.
