Ratings: Seven's rejuvenated schedule was a winner last week, but there were also moments of glory elsewhere.

Seven’s rejuvenated schedule was a winner last week with The X Factor, Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door and 800 Words bringing victory to the network.

TEN’s Bachelor was also a big winner, lifting the network on Wednesday and Thursday, while ABC benefited from the political drama on Monday.

Seven: The X Factor (Sun: 1.51m), Seven News (Sun: 1.38m), Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door (1.33m) and 800 Words (1.22m).

Nine: Nine News (Sun: 1.26m), The Block (Sun: 1.03m), A Current Affair (903,000) and NRL Finals (824,000 in 2 cities).

TEN: The Bachelor (Final: 1.48m / 1.23m), TBL Families (Tues: 726,000), The Project (7pm: 656,000) and Family Feud (Simulcast: 595,000).

ABC: Gruen (927,000), ABC News Live: Liberal Leadership Ballot (903,000) and ABC News (851,000).

SBS: Who Do You Think You Are? (363,000), Britain’s Secret Treasure Islands (273,000) and Is Binge Drinking Really That Bad? (250,000).

Seven won every night except Thursday, which fell to Nine. ABC bettered TEN on Monday and Saturday and both tied on Sunday.

Seven ranked first in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth while Nine won Sydney and Brisbane.

  1. Having watched some of the Voice i have found X-Factor to be a better show & it has hooked me in more. I’m pretty sure most of the contestants have had professional training &/or experience, such is the quality. Although that may have been the case with the Voice too, its not like the old days when shows like Australian Idol discovered genuinely amateur talents. Of course both shows suffer from ridiculous amounts of ad breaks but theres only so much i’m going to timeshift.
