NRL Footy Show star thanks supporters

A contrite Beau Ryan thanks supporters but adds, "I'm not here to talk about my private life."

NRL Footy Show star Beau Ryan returned to the Nine show last night for the Grand Final edition and apologised following recent allegations he had an affair with ex-Hi-5 star Lauren Brant.

“It has been really hard for myself and my family,” he said.

“I want to thank everyone for their support … thank you to everyone who has been respectful of my privacy, I would love for people to continue to do that.”

As audience members showed their support, Ryan did not mention his wife of three years Kara Orrell, nor Lauren Brant.

“I’m not here to talk about my private life, I am here to talk about a grand final.”

Meanwhile comedian Joel Creasey has defended his former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! cast member, Lauren Brant.

“All the negativity seemed to be aimed at her and very little at him, which isn’t right. It takes two to tango. But I think she’s copping the brunt of it,” he told News Corp.

“I feel like Lauren has been attacked unfairly.”

Corrected.

  1. i am not here to talk about my private life , but thanks everyone for your support . if your not there to talk about your private life , then why the hell did you thank people for there support

  2. In Sydney media, there was way more negativity towards Beau Ryan and not towards Lauren Phillips!!

Although Beau didn’t mention much about his affair, it’s good to see him return to the grand final show. I don’t believe it was the platform to talk about his personal life there. It’s a personal issue.
