Factual series Air Rescue returns to Seven next week, featuring pilots, aircrews, doctors, paramedics and police of the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service in Newcastle, Lismore, Moruya and for the first time, Hobart.
Unlike the rest of the service, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Tasmania features police and paramedics on board which makes the Tasmanian service unique, but also provides some of the most amazing stories we’ve ever captured. From walkers injured in dense bush and people sick at sea to shark attack victims, motorbike riders, holidaymakers and people at home – these are the stories of ordinary Australians in need and the incredible work of the rescue crews whose mission it is to help them.
Thursday, December 3rd at 8pm on Seven.

Good to see first-run local shows running even though it’s ratings silly season.
This is brand funded isn’t it David?
I can’t say. It’s a fine line between a show made by an independent prdn co that has sponsorship (ie The Block) and shows that are made for the purpose of pushing a brand (ie. McDonald’s Gets Grilled). Not sure this is quite the latter even though it has a Westpac chopper. Fredbird is independent.
