Fantastic news for Survivor fans with next week’s finale getting its first-ever daytime broadcast.

GO! will screen the 2hr final at 12midday Thursday December 17 followed by the Reunion (with the winner declared) at 2pm.

It will be replayed in primetime at 7:30pm for fans who are unable to view the daytime broadcast.

Hats off to GO! ….this is brilliant scheduling.

  1. Not long ago finished the Tv Tonight survey and guess what I selected as favourite multi channel….

I’m starting to feel a bit ill, I think by Thursday it will be a full blown flu! I guess I’ll just have to stay home that day.

  2. There is a whisper that the reason why its Live on GO! is because the Winner of survivor may be decided by a world wide live vote by the viewers on the survivor website! and that will be a first ever!

    1. That won’t happen – US reality shows (in the non-talent sense) are strategic rather than popularity contests and those that have let the public decide anything rarely get beyond one season.

Secondly the US shows don’t like to acknowledge a world outside America even exists. All these Survivor locations are just Hollywood sets of course, not foreign countries.

    2. The US Pacific time zone air Survivor 3 hours after the east – not live – so no – not likely at all. We will actually see it before LA does for example.

For those in the west here – are GO! playing Survivor at 9am?

        1. Kudos to GO for airing it live. Air something worth watching on a multi-channel during the day.

On a side note however:… when will Perth and some other cities get to watch Australian reality Grand Finals live? This is long overdue

  3. Thank you GO!

This series has been one of the best, and that’s saying something. After 30 seasons Survivor US is the original and the best reality TV show on the planet. I thought Survivor was getting boring by recycling old players but this season with players like Spencer, Keith, Woo, Jeremy etc. it has turned out to be one of the best yet.

It will only stop IMO when Jeff Probst decides to call it a day. It just isn’t Survivor US without him.

  4. Great news I will set my PVR to tape it at midday so I can watch it at 7 without ads! When Jeff said a Survivor first I immediately thought that both idols get played and there are no votes for anyone. What happens then? Do they have to re-vote or does no one go home?

      1. It’s got to be a final four, I think. The last episode is always a double followed by the reunion, and usually only five people make it to that point. Given that we still have six players in, a final four, or perhaps a double elimination from the same tribe at one tribal council, seems likely to me

  5. If it starts at 8pm in the US, then by my reckoning with a 16 hour time difference, we will be watching Live! That is fantastic news! Has shaped up to be an incredible season. Thanks GO!
