The Netflix series has attracted glowing reviews since its debut, including the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Comedy Series from the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
The slice-of-life series focuses on the comfortable irreverence of a conversation between friends as they discuss commitment and love, race and family — and the millennial battle between ambition and obligation.
Ansari plays Dev, a first-generation American who pays the bills acting in commercials. Co-created by Alan Yang, the comedy’s cast also includes Lena Waithe, Eric Wareheim, Noel Wells and Ansari’s parents.

Great news as I thought this was fantastic. The episode that Dev spends with Rachel’s grandmother was one of my favourites. Special mention must go to Eric Wareheim as Dev’s best friend Arnold.
