No decision yet on Bolt Report

With Andrew Bolt appearing on SKY News from Rome, what does it mean for The Bolt Report?

With Andrew Bolt currently appearing on SKY News, as Cardinal Pell appears before the royal commission into child abuse, some have asked whether it means The Bolt Report will return to TEN.

The show is yet to appear in 2016.

A TEN spokesperson today told TV Tonight, “A decision on a 2016 season of The Bolt Report has not been made, either way.”

Bolt is reporting from Rome for SKY News, where he has secured an interview with Cardinal Pell. But the longtime supporter of the Cardinal has surprised observers today by writing in the Herald Sun, that abuse was not of much interest to him will be a stain on his career.

‘His fate was sealed. That quote will be hung around Pell’s neck forever. The priest who went by the book, not the heart,’ he wrote.

The fate of The Bolt Report likely relies with News Corp. which produces the series. TEN has not disclosed its commercial arrangements it has with News Corp or the price to book a half hour on Sunday mornings.

  1. I don’t know why people complain when Bolt is mentioned. Don’t like him? Easy, don’t watch him. I don’t like soccer but you won’t hear me complaining if they produce a half hour show on Sunday morning.

  2. Hope he also joins Paul Murray’s show so we can have a 100% coalition bias and we can have a laugh as we do with Fox News..so Fox Trump News

  3. Andrew Bolt is not my first choice but I guess the right of politics will feel left out if his show ceases, the argument being that shows like The Insiders have a leaning towards the left.

    1. That “argument” is flawed and wrong, as is the one about the poor ol’ righties being left out.

They have more than their fair share of the media, an overabundance, in fact.

As to Bolt, he’ll be back. With sales of all papers in decline and his online blog doing less traffic as well, News need to keep him relevant…somehow. I guess 10 is it.
