Next week SBS 2 premieres local animated comedy series Suspect Moustache, which has featured as part of the online showcase, Comedy Runway.

Creator Fabian Lapham told SBS, “It’s an animated sketch show with narrative threads and an interconnected universe. It contains many characters, stories, sketches and Easter-eggs, all packed into a tight 5 minutes that’s ready for your daily social media consumption. It would be arrogant to call it a rich tapestry, it’s a very affordable tapestry, we won’t freak out if you spill your drink on it.”

With evil Jesus clones, giant wafer monsters and flaming tornadoes of death running for mayor,
Australia’s first animated sketch comedy show Suspect Moustache covers topics too big for
real life.

Monday, 30 May at 9.25pm on SBS 2.

  1. Ok, this was pretty good with some genuine chuckle-out-loud moments kept short to avoid missing the next gag. Machine gun comedy.

Also, it was 25 min all up because SBS showed 5 “eps” one after the other.

  2. I’ve seen the ads for this and thought that I’d have to give it a look. Hadn’t realised that it was only 5 min so that shouldn’t be hard to do. The ads reminded me a little of Modern Toss which was mostly hilarious.
