An interim AVO preventing a paparazzo from approaching Biggest Loser trainer Michelle Bridges has been extended until the matter returns to court.

But 20 year old photographer Liam Mendes will still be able to take pictures of her.

Michelle Bridges did not appear in the Downing Centre local court this morning for an apprehended violence order.

Bridges filed the AVO request after Mendes snapped her in a Woolworths store in Sydney’s Kings Cross this week.

The incident was featured in A Current Affair on Monday night.

“You’re actually breaking the law,” Bridges told Mendes.

“No I’m not,” he replied. “There’s nothing illegal about it”.

“You’re breaking the law by filming me in a shop,” said Bridges.

Mendes’ lawyer Chris Murphy told the court his client’s actions were “not illegal” and he left after being asked to do so by a Woolworths manager.

He said the matter would be defended and asked for an adjournment.

The matter will return to court on June 8.
