Community TV Channel 31 Melbourne will premiere a new locally-produced comedy next Monday night, Fix-Her-Up.

The half hour comedy is described as a workplace sitcom about female friendship and rivalry, set in an office in inner Melbourne.

There are 5 episodes all up, produced by Pea Tree Productions.

Four very different girls work at Mighty Ant Building and Renovation and despite the best efforts of their boss, not a lot of work goes on. Sales agent Jane, a polished over-achiever, is always trying to fix the other girls’ problems to avoid her own. Her efforts usually backfire and only exacerbate the situation.

Her best friend is Prue, the office administrator, a naive country girl looking for love in all the wrong places. Nicki, the company’s marketing coordinator, is Prue’s polar opposite. She’s a sexed up wog from Doncaster, desperate to get married, whatever it takes. Meadow, Nicki’s best friend, is a designer adopted by Byron Bay hippies. Her design skills are only matched by her acid tongue and ability to deliver a cutting one-liner.

The boss, Anthea, is the project manager – a tough ball-breaker who is constantly busting in on their crazy shenanigans. Will, the upbeat handy man, is the only male member of staff.

He’s Prue’s brother, and Jane’s accidental one-night stand. His infatuation with Jane often results in him being dragged kicking and screaming into the office antics. Fix-Her-Up is a fast paced workplace sitcom about female friendship and rivalry.

Sometimes the people you work with, despite all your differences, become your closest friends.

9.30pm Monday from 13th June on Channel 31 Melbourne.
