Usually in News Corp articles The Bachelor gets a pretty good run.

But former ccontestant Georgia Tripos has levelled criticism at producers that would be right at home on parody series, UnREAL.

Her comments follow a scene in which she referred to the show’s Intruders as “skanks.”

“Firstly I was told by producers off air (the cameras were off) so I was kind of venting my frustrations of the day, but deep down I knew it was time for me to go,” she told news.com.au.

“I was told that the camera was off and (a producer asked), ‘Tell me how you really feel?’ And I just had a bit of a moment of frustration.”

She claims she was “threatened” by one producer when she didn’t “bitch” about fellow contestant Kiki.
“The same producer that was in the car with me — he tried to get me to bitch about someone (Kiki) for an hour and then he turned the camera off and threatened I’d go home if I didn’t bitch about people,” she said.

But production company Warner Bros., said in a statement, “Both of these claims by Georgia are untrue. Occasionally participants are disappointed in the way they portray themselves on camera.”

“You should see how much we had to talk about that white rose — every time we had to have a conversation at the cocktail party the producers would say, ‘What about that white rose?’” she said. “We don’t care about it, to be honest.”

She also told producers whe didn’t care about described the show as  very controlled, contrived environment.

‘But I take ownership for everything I said.”

  1. i would have thought its common sense that these “shows” are all scripted , its no different to the wrestling. Without “dramas” no one would watch any of these “shows”

  2. While not to discount the truth behind unREAL – you cannot turn around and use this as a defence or excuse. Every series of Bach here and in the US film the car conversation of the departing Bachelor/ette. Perhaps lesson is to actually watch the show you’re looking to go onto.

  3. Well if you appear on this type of show, the producers need drama to fulfil the narrative. Its in its 3rd modern season here so everyone must be aware of the manipulation. Keira was out last night and I have yet to see a clip which portrays her in a positive light. Its entertaining but at what cost to the participants…..
