Regionally-based female screenwriters & directors invited to apply for Screenworks new initiative.

Northern NSW based Screenworks is calling for regionally-based female screenwriters and directors across Australia for its new initiative, The Athena Project.

Four NSW teams and one from each other state & territory will travel to Byron Bay in November to develop viable screen career plans, build industry connections and get support for a long-term career.

Director Gillian Armstrong (Women He’s Undressed, My Brilliant Career), Director of Scripted Development at Matchbox Pictures Debbie Lee (The Family Law, Glitch), director Cate McQuillen (dirtgirlworld) and creative industries career advisor Monica Davidson will consult on the initiative.

Applications close on 8 September 2016.
