Seven has confirmed it has picked up the 2016 revival of hit UK drama, Cold Feet.

Australian-based writer Mike Bullen has revived the series after a 13 year hiatus. It returned in the UK this week with more than six million people viewers.

The original series ran for five seasons between 1997 and 2003. Principal cast have returned for the 8 part revival with the exception of Helen Baxendale as Rachel.

It will screen on Seven in October.

When we saw them last, our couples were on the cusp of change, growing up and settling down – they had hoped by the time they were approaching their fifties they would have life worked out. Since Rachel’s untimely death, how has Adam (James Nesbitt) coped raising their son without his soulmate? Do Pete (John Thomson) and Jenny (Fay Ripley) still spend their evenings on the sofa, perhaps now watching Endeavour instead of Inspector Morse? And what of David (Robert Bathurst) and Karen (Hermione Norris)? They had split up, but with three children, are the ties that bind still strong?
