Dannii Minogue joins UK talent series Let it Shine

Dannii Minogue is returning a Reality TV judge, joining BBC One’s Let It Shine.
The series sees Take That’s Gary Barlow looking for five male performers to star in a stage musical, The Band – not to be confused with the musical Never Forget which debuted in 2007.
“I’m so excited to be returning to the UK and joining the judging panel of Let It Shine,” the former X Factor judge said. “To be a performer, you must have a burning desire to perform, then you train at all the skills you need to shine. This show gives everyone that chance. I can’t wait.”
The BBC revealed back in June that Let It Shine would essentially replace The Voice, which it lost to ITV. Graham Norton and Great British Bake Off’s Mel Giedroyc are hosts.
The UK has previously had success with reality shows revolving around talent hunts for stage shows including The Sound of Music, Oliver! and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
