The NRL Footy Show last week raised over $500,000 for The Starlight Children’s Foundation in the annual Big Change for Little Champions Telethon.

Hosts Paul “Fatty” Vautin and Erin Molan were joined by James Maloney, Darryl Brohman, Beau Ryan, Billy Slater plus actor Matt Nable, Kim and Chris from The Block, Sydney Roosters’ Mitchell Pearce, Here Come the Habibs stars Kat Hoyos, Tyler De Nawi and Sam Alhaje, and hurdler Michelle Jenneke.

Starlight’s NSW Partnerships Manager, Holly Roberts, said: “We are delighted to have already raised more than $500,000 through our telethon and partnership with The NRL Footy Show. This will give more than 11,000 sick kids and their families access to our hospital programs nationally.

“We rely solely on the community to keep the doors to our Starlight Express Rooms open, and to grow our Captain Starlight program so we can reach even more sick kids and their families around Australia. We couldn’t sustain these programs without the support and generosity of Channel Nine and the rugby league community.”

NRL Footy Show Executive Producer, Glenn Pallister, said: “In the four years of The Footy Show presenting The Big Change for Little Champions Telethon I have never been more proud of the show or the result. Not just because of all the people who helped put it together, but most importantly the wonderful people who donated. We at The Footy Show thank you all and wish every person that passes through the doors of a Starlight Room the very best for their journey.”
