The final US Presidential Debate drew a whopping 71.6 million viewers.
Variety reports it is the third-largest audience for a presidential debate, behind the first Clinton-Trump debate (84 million) and the final Carter-Reagan debate in 1980 (80.6m).
Comparisons to the second debate last week are difficult, because NBC was airing a Sunday Night Football game instead of the debate, but it drew 66.5 million viewers.
Here’s how they stacked up in Australia (incl. repeats on ABC):
Seven: 202,000
Nine: 172,000
ABC / ABC News 24: 152,000 / 109,000 / 102,000 / 12,000
SKY News: 43,000
SBS: 38,000

Amazing , 125 million voted in last Presidential Election, so 71m at the 3rd Debate is a massive turnout
