SBS on Demand: Spiral

Season 5 of French crime drama Spiral was added to SBS on Demand last week.

Seasons 1 – 5, all 52 episodes are now available.

With starkly filmed decomposing corpses, autopsies and criminal interviews, Spiral is an enthralling insight into the tangled web of the French legal system.

Season 5 opens with lawyer Joséphine Karlsson (Audrey Fleurot) representing a man blamed for murdering a police officer, while Captain Berthaud (Caroline Proust) and her team investigate a shocking double murder.

Each episode of Spiral is a stand-alone story, but also provides clues to solving an intrinsic series-long case. With monochromatic photography and hand-held camera movements, zooming and elliptic cutting, Spiral plunges the audience into the dark world of crime.
