TEN Eyewitness News reporter Melinda Nucifora elicits a compelling Live TV moment.

TEN Eyewitness News reporter Melinda Nucifora elicited a compelling moment at the press conference today held by Ardent Leisure, parent company of Dreamworld.

After CEO Deborah Thomas (formerly of The Apprentice Australia) claimed the company had reached out to the families affected by this week’s tragic accident, Melinda Nucifora told her the Dorsett family had messaged her during the broadcast.

“They say that they’ve had no direct contact whatsoever. No one’s even reached out to them,” she told Thomas.

Thomas explained police liaison had been in touch with families, but asked for the phone number to call directly.

“I was just going to say did you say that the Dorsett family were watching? I would like to say to Mrs Dorsett, my sincere sympathies for what you are going through and on behalf of staff and management our hearts and thoughts and prayers are with you,” she added.

“I will be calling you to see what assistance we can offer.”

Thomas was also questioned about an $850,000 company bonus.

Update: Ardent Leisure CEO Deborah Thomas announces her yearly bonus of $167,500 will go to the Red Cross and affected families.
