US TV ratings for the second Presidential Debate are not expected to top the first, which drew 84 million viewers two weeks ago.

Early numbers, which reflect network television only, indicate a drop of around 20%.

But the figures don’t yet include Cable TV, and there were hurricane-affected markets that missed it including Jacksonville, Orlando, Norfolk and Raleigh-Durham.

Airing on several networks, CBS enjoyed the largest audience followed by ABC and FOX.

NBC stuck with its regular Sunday Night Football which would have also contributed to the lower numbers.

Updated: Final numbers were 68.8m viewers -just shy of the previous record for a 2nd debate (70m).
