  1. I love the intro and theme music to Beyond 2000! Has excellent guitar rif and the production was awesome could be sampled for a dance track that’s how good it still is!

  2. An episode of Beyond 2000 I remember from 1983 on ABC covered this new idea called “cell” or “mobile” phones. Included a graphic showing how as the phone moves from cell to cell it connects to the nearest cell and then connects to normal phones or onto other cells (as in mobile-mobile call) via the normal land lines.

  3. To flashback further, there was also Towards 2000 – I think this was an ABC series before the format got shifted across to 7. Great theme music too (the name of the composer/company who did this escapes me at the moment though).

    1. ABC as ‘Towards 2000’ and ‘Beyond 2000’, then 7, then 10 IIRC. And then back to 7 as ‘Beyond Tomorrow’.

The composer was Michael Carlos, who also did the music for ‘Storm Boy’ and ‘Blue Fin’ and arranged / produced / played on some of Jon English’s albums.
