Seven has won the penultimate ratings week of the year by just 0.01%.

While it would be poetic to represent the year, it’s just not the case, with Seven well ahead of Nine in total people this year.

Nine began the week with a bumper 39.6% share which Seven gradually pummelled down across the week. By Saturday Nine had slipped behind Seven leaving the week as a battle between Spiderman and Harry Potter movies.

Whilst Nine finished the week first in primary channels, Seven fell over the line thanks to its multichannels.

Meanwhile ABC had a better week overall than TEN, which was strong on Monday.
