Burke Ramsey, the surviving older brother of JonBenet Ramsey, is suing CBS and others for $US750 million ($A1.0 billion).
Hit crime special The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey, concluded that he killed his sister, as part of a cover-up in which his parents allegedly protected their only surviving child.
The 29-year-old filed a lawsuit in Michigan this week, seeking $US250 million in compensatory damages and $500 million in punitive damages for “permanent damage to his reputation” as a result of the “false accusation that he killed his sister.”
Earlier this year, Burke was asked by Dr Phil McGraw: “Did you do anything to harm your sister JonBenet?” Dr Phil asked, point blank.
“No,” he responded.
“Did you murder your sister JonBenet?” asked McGraw.
“No,” he answered.
“I kinda always thought it was a paedophile who saw her in one of the pageants and snuck in [to our house], who knows,” he said.
The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey drew a bumper audience when it screened in Australia on Nine.

Unusual he wants to sue, he looked so happy during all the interviews with that constant bizarre smile.
Dr. Phil remarked on this as the result of him not having a normal upbringing, shielded and pursued through his teen years. I guess doubly abnormal if you’ve potentially been keeping up any facade.
i wonder how much money the producers made on this show? surely they would’ve predicted he would sue them, maybe they’ve made so much more money it won’t hurt them to lose that much?
I was actually wondering why he didn’t do this earlier. I don’t understand how shows like that can get away with saying whatever they want about someone with no consequences.
