Struggling SVOD service Quickflix is relaunching its streaming and DVD services with an emphasis on new Hollywood movies and entertainment.

As it emerges from voluntary administration, the company announces Quickflix Access and Quickflix Red Carpet programs plus the release of “Finding Dory,” available many months before Netflix.

“We’re excited about Quickflix Red Carpet, which will be Australia’s best, and most widely accessible destination to get the absolutely newest Hollywood releases every single week at an incredible value,” said Erik Pence, managing partner for Karma Media Holdings.

“Quickflix members do not have to wait months and months to get access to the newest movies and can watch them any way they want: on DVD or through digital streaming. Quickflix has already taken in many of the biggest Hollywood ‘tentpole’ titles from major studios such as Disney and Lionsgate, and our service doesn’t limit the customers’ experience based on what device they have… this is a big part of building a whole new Quickflix.”

Quickflix Access is free for anyone to sign up who wishes to participate on a “pay-as-you-go” basis. Quickflix Red Carpet users get all the benefits of Quickflix Access along with pre-paid discount credits to watch several new releases every month and have access to “Bonus” movies and TV programs from Quickflix’s still-ongoing subscription-based catalogue. All members may choose between DVDs, digital streaming, or a combination of both. Current customers will be able to keep their existing plan or adopt the new plans at any time.

  1. Quickflix has been bleeding out for over a year now! just let it die already! Presto has taken the hint! Quickflix is more expensive and more complicated with it’s (tv and movie packs) to the average joe! do they really think one movie is going to send them to the top of the subscriber chain??
