Renewed: School of Rock

Nickelodeon has renewed tween series School of Rock, starring Australian-born Breanna Yde, for a third season.

Based on the 2003 Jack Black movie of the same name, it has been given a sizeable 20 episodes, up from Season 2’s 13 episodes.

Deadline reports the series is averaging 1.4 million total US viewers in its second season, ranking as one of the top five shows on all TV with kids 6-11.

School Of Rock joins two other Nick series that were recently renewed, Dan Schneider’s Henry Danger and Game Shakers.

It airs in Australia on Nickelodeon.
