Writers’ Guild of America, Great Britain, Awards 2017: nominees

On both sides of the Atlantic they have now shortlisted their best writers' work in TV.

Stranger Things

Westworld and Stranger Things have been nominated in the Drama categories at the Writers’ Guild of America Awards.

They join previous nominees The Americans, Better Call Saul and Game of Thrones.

FX’s Atlanta is the only new comedy alongside favourites including Veep and Transparent.

This Is Us scored a place in the New Series category plus a nod for Best Drama Episode with “The Trip,” competing against a trio of Better Call Saul episodes, the Game of Thrones season 6 finale and an episode of Shameless.

The Night Of, Speechless, Son of Zorn, American Crime and The People v. O.J. Simpson are amongst others up for awards.
