And the Monday night ratings go to….

Ratings: MKR & Married are still locked in a tussle at the top. Meanwhile TEN is losing a pile of viewers with Whose Line is it Anyway?

The tussle at the top continues between My Kitchen Rules (1.12m) and Married at First Sight (1.1m) with MKR edging back in front of Nine’s dating series, but Nine in front on demos. Both were down on last Monday night.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was again third with 778,000 but lifted on last Monday’s performance.

It seems viewers were not so attracted to ACA‘s killer confession story -at 776,000 it was well down on last Monday’s 903,000. ABC News won the slot.

Bride and Prejudice won its slot ahead of House Husbands but TEN’s Whose Line Is It Anyway? Australia is dropping a pile of viewers after Celebrity, from 778,000 to just 280,000.

The Academy Awards drew 386,000 in the afternoon and 171,000 later in a 9GEM replay. Last year it was 398,000 / 243,000.

    1. Unfortunately there is only so much output Working Dog can manage. They have Russell Coight and new Utopia to make, as a small and refined outfit there is only so much they can juggle. I’d expect it to return with Masterchef around May.

  1. The first two eps of Aussie Whose Line weren’t too bad but last night ep was definitely the worst so far! Apart from Steen Raskopolous and Rhys Darby, the other cast (whether regular or not) just aren’t that good at improv. A lot of the jokes are very hit and miss (and sometimes just plain awkward). At least with the original UK and US versions you can rewatch a “skit” over and over again and still laugh your butt off like you’re watching it for the first time. I doubt this version will get a second season.

  2. I appreciate Ten trying something “new” with Who’s line, but knock off’s of a once popular US show never works, the original worked entirely on the backs of the chemistry of its star’s, it will never work here, especially with unknown names poorly copying great comedians

        1. I don’t understand why Ten doesn’t invest a little more in animation to fill their Wednesday nights on Eleven. The only shows in the schedule still producing new episodes are The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers (the future of Son of Zorn is still up in the air). I thought that screening new episodes of Pokémon would have been a smart move to fill in the schedule with some new content off the back of the wildly successful Pokémon GO.

  3. ABC seems to be the biggest loser out of increased reality competition on the networks.

Ten really needs to fix it’s post 8:30pm lineup. With the exception of Gogglebox on Thursdays, and an OK showing with This Is Us, they are just giving away nightly share.
