Sam Armytage will be fined by NSW Police for not wearing a seat belt last week during Sunrise‘s Ed Sheeran special.
She apologised to viewers today for her memory lapse.
“You’ll remember I went to pick up the singing superstar from his hotel room,” she said today. “During that segment, I neglected to wear a seatbelt.
“I’m sorry. It was unintentional, I was caught up in the moment but that’s no excuse.”
She confirmed all involved would receive infringement notices, which would be paid.
“And a reminder, do as I say, not as I did. Always wear your seatbelt, no matter what the vehicle. Even a taxi or an Uber.”
On the weekend Armytage said she was calling police to deal with paparazzi drones hovering over her home.

Mistake made, apology followed… move on people! Will never understand the vitriol Sam has to face from the unforgiving public, particularly the bogans!
If I made as many mistakes and gave as many apologies I would lose my job…..go figure…
Another stunt Samantha for even more publicity, when your on a Mil a year the fines won’t hurt
I know! And what about that Ed Sheeran?! I mean, a bearded foreigner who comes here but refuses to mingle with average people, once urged his followers to “multiply” but now encourages impressionable youngsters to embrace “division”, and disrepects our laws …
I hear that’s he’s not too happy about those money changers either!
All those people on facebook who pointed this out must lead such exciting lives…
