  1. I’ve been looking forward to seeing this show, the comparisons with The Man in the High Castle will be made but characterisations are really what British made shows are all about, so prepare yourselves for all those stereotype Nazis.

  2. Based on the Len Deighton novel…..I was sure this book had been made into a mini-series before, but I must have been getting confused with “An Englishman’s Castle” starring Kenneth More.

This series and the book were both released in 1978 and aren’t related it seems.

    1. Yes, I recall seeing an episode or two of British TV series with this storyline back in the middle 1980s, though I can’t recall its name. But I do recall that it was really slow moving and boring. Hopefully, the 21st century treatment will be much more interesting and engaging.

      1. ‘Fatherland’-I listened to the BBC radio adaptation-was made as a movie with Rutger Hauer but they changed a number of things in the plot to appeal to Americans.
