Stars struggling to maintain privacy

Updated: TV stars turn to police as they struggle to keep a line in the sand between work & private lives.

Network stars are struggling to keep their lives private with weekend articles on paparazzo drones and possible stalkers.

Sunrise host Sam Armytage took to Instagram to say she was “fed up” with another drone hovering over her backyard, presumably taking photos.

“Pervy, stalker, weirdo paps hovering ANOTHER drone in my backyard. Calling police in now. ANY women’s magazines or online gossip sites who buy these creepy pictures, had better be prepared for a fight. Fed up with this rubbish,” she wrote.

Her post was published by News Corp -along with a photo of the front of her house.

Armytage recently received an apology from Daily Mail Australia after unflattering photos it described as “granny panties.”

Updated: Meanwhile the Herald Sun reported a former Seven employee in Melbourne had allegedly been stalking Nine News staff, including presenter Peter Hitchener & Rebecca Maddern, plus Jennifer Keyte, Seven Melb managing director Lewis Martin and ex Nine CEO David Gyngell.

Victoria Police on Friday confirmed a 48-year-old man had been charged with stalking, using a carriage service to harass, using a carriage service to menace and breach of a court order.

He will appear in court on Monday.

Last year showbiz personality Maria Venuti had a stroke at the time an alleged stalker was on her property.

No charges were laid.
