Abby Lee Miller has quit her hit series Dance Moms, ending a 7 season run.
In an Instagram post she declared that she will no longer participate in the series as she has “ASKED, BEGGED, AND EVEN DEMANDED CREATIVE CREDIT FOR ALL THE IDEAS, AWARD WINNING ROUTINES, THEMES, AND COSTUMING” without success.
“I don’t have a problem working with any kid, I love children and have dedicated my life to making other people’s children successful! I JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BEING MANIPULATED, DISRESPECTED, AND USED – DAY IN AND DAY OUT BY MEN WHO NEVER TOOK A DANCE LESSON IN THEIR LIVES AND TREAT WOMEN LIKE DIRT!” she insisted.
But Miller is is less than two months away from a long-delayed sentencing hearing that could see her behind bars for more than two years for fraud.
In October 2015 charge Miller was indicted on 20 counts of fraud after failing to claim $755,000 in income from the show when she filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. She has also been accused of laundering $120,000 in Australian currency into the US.
Last June, she pleaded guilty to the charges.
