Auditions: arts panel

A new panel show about the Arts is looking for people who work in these industries and have strong opinions.

Actors, critics, writers, performers, directors, comedians with demonstrated experience in TV, film, theatre, music and online are required.

Producers want people who love consuming pop culture and who can speak eloquently, intelligently and honestly about what they love and what they don’t and why.

Audition times will be held in studio in both Melbourne and Sydney and or Anousha Zarkesh Casting is also happy to receive self tests.

Briefing:

Age of participants: 25-50-ish but certainly wouldn’t discount someone older who has a spark and passion/knowledge about these subjects.

Production dates: June-Sept initially, possibly 2-3 days a week when shooting for the presenters. Not sure whether Syd or Melb shoot yet.

Good ethnic mix and women/men most welcome. A good sense of humour would be appreciated as well as their own personality coming through.

The producers want to know that you love TV, movies and pop culture, so this screen test is all about seeing you being passionate and engaged.

There is no need to prepare anything specific – just be prepared to share your enthusiasm and your opinions. It will be pretty casual.

We’ll ask you about something you’ve seen recently that you loved (it could be a TV show, film, theatre or a concert), and what you loved about it.

We’ll also ask you about something you saw recently that you were disappointed by/baffled by/hated/or couldn’t see what the fuss was about.

There are no correct answers – we just want to hear what they think.
