Ed Sheeran to guest star on Game of Thrones

From Summer Bay to Westeros…

UK singer songwriter Ed Sheeran will guest star in Season 7 of Game of Thrones.

The news was announced showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on a panel with Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.

“For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it,” Benioff said at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

An HBO spokesperson told Variety, “He has a role. No more details.”

Ed Sheeran previously appeared in a guest role on Home and Away in 2015.
