Jeff Probst: “I’ve never seen anything like it!”

“Unprecedented” declared Jeff Probst.

“I’ve never seen anything like it!”

In 34 seasons of Survivor it was a Tribal Council like no other as players started ignoring the host’s questions and began colluding on who to vote out.

As the cameras rolled everybody was scrambling and whispering their plans, leaving Jeff Probst with little to do but watch in shock.

The surprising scene followed the show’s first-ever joint Tribal in which two tribes had to vote out a single player.

  1. Too me this was a far better twist than the Australian Survivor one where they just voted someone to swap tribes. I swear Sandra is a Jedi the way she controls everyone. She is hypnotic.

  2. I thought the schemozzle should have been stopped – it should not be allowed at Tribal. Kept waiting for Jeff to pull them into line, but he just sat like a stunned mullet. They should have done the double tribe tribal council like the Australian version.

  3. jezza the first original one

An absolutely classic and original Tribal Council, one of the best I have ever seen. Not bad for a show in its 34th season.

  4. I was really unhappy with the initial concept and casting of this season but it’s hit the ground running in superb style from the first episode. Last night was fantastic!

  5. Wasn’t expecting Malcolm to be the one to go! Reading his interview on TVGuide.com he was rather frustrated at being ousted by JT and in his words a ‘goofy twist’.

That said I love twists like this that make the game unpredictable, that’s what made Second Chance such a good season

    • 100% agree with you! It was an outstanding tribal council! Sad Malcolm is gone though – really wanted to see him against Ozzie in an individual immunity challenge 🙁
