Returning: NCIS: New Orleans. Bumped: 24: Legacy, Homeland

There are more changes in store for TEN's Sunday line-up.

There are more changes in store for TEN’s Sunday line-up.

This weekend NCIS: New Orleans returns for its third season at 9:40pm following Bull.

“Aftershocks”
The NCIS team partners with several federal agencies to track a sniper who is targeting crowded events in the city. Also, FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio arrives to investigate Pride and his team.

This premiered in the US in September.

But it means 24: Legacy and Homeland both move once again, now at 10:30pm and 11:30pm starts, respectively.  This will be the third timeslot change for each in only 5 weeks -hopefully the last?

  1. Ten showed the first episode of Bull 3 times last week, and it was on Gogglebox. They really want it to work, but they need to stop moving shows around. Nothing runs on time on that station. The frequency of ad breaks in the first couple of episodes of 24 and Homeland were enough to lose me. Ridiculous!

  2. I reckon One is the channel that would best suit the likes of Homeland and 24. Give it time to bed in with regular time slots. Air them days after their airing in America not months after.

    1. 24 Legacy is already airing same week as the US.
Homeland on Sun is ep5, same day is ep8 in the US.
Think moving them to One wouldn’t improve the numbers of either.

  3. Been watching Homeland from the get go and still one of my fav shows.
Sooner Foxtel take it and give a regular time slot the better.. Even my aging soon to be retired TiVo is totally confused

  4. No, no, no!
Don’t give up on the revamped 24 just because Jack and his mob have been replaced by an Afro-Americans cast.
I’m sure it can’t be too much longer before the daughter of “what’s his name” will get lost on a nearby mountain-top, and then confronted by a hungry cougar.
Except the cougar will be replaced by a panther.

    1. A panther is a mountain lion/cougar/puma (all the same critter) in the US-generically refers to whatever the local big cat species are-leopards. jaguars etc.
Like all 22 ep US drama series, there’s always a lot of padding in the plot to make up the run time-and that was early on in the program when it was still a high rating, novel show!

  5. They should put the first 7 episodes of Homeland on 11 or 1 from 7.30pm one Saturday night and encourage people to tape them. Then fast track the new ones on Monday night. What could possibly go wrong?

  6. I’m struggling through 24. I don’t care much for the characters and the concept hasn’t updated to match the times…And there seems to be so many ad breaks and TEN usually has fewer ad breaks later at night. It’s easier to catch-up on Monday with Tenplay.

  7. There’s one discernible difference between Ten and the other two big networks… and it’s a biggie… at least Ten have stuck with the shows and not gotten rid of them altogether.

  8. The lesson here is don’t be cheap — fork out the money for some post 7.30 Aus content like 7 and 9. Bloody hell, mine Foxtel for certain shows or do more co-productions. Would have thought having NCIS: NO on Tues would make more sense – complete the three

  9. I thought I would give 24 another go, but it didn’t take long to realise that nothing had changed since the last version. You would have thought that they would have mixed up a bit, but they even maintained the paranoid stares that seem to beset everybody in the CTU. I still have fond memories of the first season, but I don’t know whether this was because it was different at the time, or I was just young and innocent.

Not much chatter about Bull. Didn’t impress me and I won’t be back. Won’t be long before that is also shove to the back of the bus.

  10. Did TEN really think that 24 and Homeland would rate any better than previous seasons ?
24 may have new characters, but the concept still feels old and tired.
I still enjoy Homeland, but it’s it’s popularity has been diminishing each year.
I doubt NCIS New Orleans will do much better.
    Time to rethink Sundays, TEN.
