Will Smith was joined by former cast members from 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in Malibu, this week.
Joining him were Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Vivian no. 2), and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey).
Sadly James Avery, who played “Uncle Phil,” died in 2013.
The reunion was arranged in part by the Sweet Blackberry Foundation, a non-profit organisation that’s “dedicated to bringing to life little-known stories of African American achievement to inspire young children.” It was founded by Parsons in 2013, and Ali serves on its board of directors.
In the “selfie” that Smith posted to Facebook with the rest of his former co-workers, he said, “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air debuted in 1990 and ran for six seasons.

What a great pic. it looks like they all wanted to be there. a bit of a downer that James Uncle Phil Avery isn’t there, he was awesome on the show, really complimented the slapstick funny from other characters, Will, Ashley, Hilary. Was a great show overall, btw should have had Jeffrey Towns aka DJ Jazzy Jeff
Hard to believe Will is nearly 50 years old in that photo, assuming no airbrushing! Only one I don’t recognise is the lady in the hat.
Surprise surprise!! No Aunt Vivian No 1.
It’s really nice to see that Will Smith makes an effort to acknowledge the work he had done before he made it big in Hollywood.
James Avery died in 2013, not whilst the show was still in production.
My bad. Corrected.
