Nine, Seven battle for Tuesday win.

Ratings: My Kitchen Rules won its slot, with a little help from AFL, but Nine claimed Tuesday.

ANZAC Day AFL helped push Seven News to a bumper audience of 1.47m viewers last night, with 530,000 of them alone in Melbourne, well ahead of Nine’s 367,000.

In turn that helped My Kitchen Rules edge in front of The Voice, despite Nine winning the slot on Monday. But there wasn’t much between them.

The second part of Nine’s House of Bond miniseries increased from Part 1, lifting from 613,000 to 657,000, not a bad figure given the late 9pm start.

TEN’s dramatic Bondi Rescue special drew 553,000, an improvement on Sunday figures.

It was bad news for the final of Life on the Line at ABC limping out with just 292,000.

Nine network drew 32.0% then Seven 31.1%, TEN 17.2%, ABC 12.8% and SBS 6.9%.

Excluding daytime sports here’s how they stacked up….

Nine News (1.21m / 1.16m) was best for Nine then The Voice (1.185m), A Current Affair (872,000), House of Bond (657,000). Hot Seat was 186,000 in 3 cities.

Seven News was #1 with 1.47m /1.28m viewers for Seven then My Kitchen Rules (1.22m), Home and Away (790,000), Seven Year Switch (551,000), The Chase (486,000 in 4 cities / 265,000 in 3 cities).

The Project (620,000 / 398,000) led TEN’s night followed by Bondi Rescue (553,000), NCIS (447,000), TEN Eyewitness News (413,000), Family Feud (336,000) and NCIS: LA (345,000).

On SBS it was Great Continental Railway Journeys (380,000), Insight (262,000), Dateline (178,000) and SBS World News (157,000).

ABC2’s Peter Rabbit hopped to the top of multichannels with 31,000.

  1. hey david just wondering 2 things: what were the ratings for today and sunrise the day after the logies and what were the ratings for both those shows on ANZAC Day

  2. Few gripes, 1. How long will this MKR atrocity continue? please let it end already..
    2. The voice promo of the 2 female judges ogling & fawning over the singers looks, heaven forbid a male judge did the same to a female contestant
    3. Biopics….
Positive- 7 year switch not doing well, I personally find it complete & utter trash, so winning there

    1. MKR is like the longest flight overseas, by the time you get there you are exhausted and tired. Seven is going to kill the MKR franchise by milking it. The season is far to long and it has strayed from the original concept. The public are getting battle fatigue
