Queenslanders battle for MKR crown

Valerie & Courtney face off against Amy & Tyson for 2017 title and $250,000 cash.

It’s a battle between Queenslanders with the final teams now locked in for the My Kitchen Rules grand final this Sunday.

Queenslanders Valerie & Courtney secured their place in the final last night after beating South Australians Tim & Kyle.

“To come this close and not go to the big dance is disappointing,” said Kyle after scoring 46 points.

“But it’s still an achievement to finish third and we always knew it was going to be an extremely tough battle against these two. Our experience on My Kitchen Rules has been amazing. We’ve had the best time, we’ve met the best people,” Tim added.

The mother and daughter team will go head to head with Amy & (“angry angry man”) Tyson who defeated NSW team David & Betty on Tuesday night. One duo will walk away with the $250,000 prize and 2017 title.

Chefs Colin Fassnidge, Karen Martini, Guy Grossi and Liz Egan join Manu Feildel and Pete Evans at 8pm Sunday on Seven.

  1. Mkr sets up yet another boring grand final. Amy and tyson will win. Against tim and kyle it may have gone either way. I wish the judges comments actually were reflected in scoring. Bring on Masterchef!
